Does the app upload my photos?

FilmCam is designed as an on-device photo tool. Your photos are processed locally on your device with film-style filters. For details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

How do I save photos to the Photos app?
  • After capturing a photo, tap Save to save to your photo library.
  • If saving fails, check the Photo Library permission in iOS Settings.
Can I apply filters to existing photos?

Yes, you can import photos from your photo library and apply film filters to them.

How do I report a bug?

Please email us and include the steps to reproduce the issue, a screenshot or screen recording, and (if possible) the original photo that triggers the problem.

Subscriptions & Purchases

If you subscribe to Pro, the subscription may auto-renew unless you cancel it in iOS.

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment information.

Troubleshooting

The camera preview is black / cannot open the camera
  • Go to iOS Settings → FilmCam and enable Camera.
  • Force quit the app and reopen it.
  • Restart your device if the issue persists.
Saving fails or the app cannot access Photos
  • Go to iOS Settings → FilmCam and allow Photos access.
  • Make sure your device has enough free storage.
Filters look different from the preview
  • Some filters may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions.
  • Try adjusting the filter intensity if available.
