Common Tasks

  • Change LED text: tap the text input field at the top of the Banner screen.
  • Switch LED style or color: use the controls below the banner preview.
  • Export GIF or video: tap Export and choose the format.

FAQ

Does the app upload my data?

GlowText processes everything locally on your device. Your text, settings, and exported files are never uploaded to any server. For details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

Why does the app need microphone access?

Microphone access is optional and only used for the music beat detection feature in Light Effects mode. Audio is analyzed in real-time and is not recorded or stored. You can use all other features without granting microphone access.

Can I use the app at concerts or sports events?

Yes! GlowText is designed for concerts, sports events, parties, and promotions. Use the scrolling banner for fan support messages, the scoreboard for game tracking, and light effects for atmosphere.

Will the app cause screen burn-in?

Prolonged display of static content on OLED screens may cause image retention. We recommend enabling scrolling mode and taking breaks during extended use. The app is intended for entertainment purposes.

How do I report a bug?

Please email us and include the steps to reproduce the issue, a screenshot or screen recording, and your device model and iOS version.

Subscriptions & Purchases

If you subscribe to Pro, the subscription may auto-renew unless you cancel it in iOS.

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment information.

Troubleshooting

Music beat detection is not responding
  • Go to iOS Settings → GlowText and enable Microphone.
  • Make sure music is playing at a reasonable volume near your device.
  • Try adjusting the sensitivity slider in the Light Effects settings.
Export fails or the app cannot save to Photos
  • Go to iOS Settings → GlowText and allow Photos access.
  • Make sure your device has enough free storage.
The scrolling text is laggy or flickering
  • Try reducing the text length or LED size.
  • Close other apps running in the background.
  • Restart the app if the issue persists.
Flashing effects warning

Some light effects involve rapid flashing. If you are sensitive to flashing lights or have a history of photosensitive epilepsy, please avoid using strobe or party effects.
