FAQ

Is my health data private?

Yes. Lunara stores all data exclusively on your device. There are no servers, no accounts, and no cloud sync. Your data never leaves your phone. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

How accurate are the cycle predictions?

Predictions improve as you log more data. With fewer than 3 cycles, predictions use a default 28-day cycle. With 3–6 cycles, a simple average is used. With 6+ cycles, a weighted average gives more weight to recent cycles. A confidence indicator (Low / Medium / High) shows how reliable the prediction is.

Are the hormone trends medically accurate?

No. Hormone trend charts show estimated relative levels (High / Medium / Low) based on your cycle phase and data patterns. They are not blood test results and should not be used for medical decisions. Always consult a healthcare provider for medical concerns.

What happens if I delete the app?

All data is permanently deleted when you remove the app. There is no backup or recovery because we do not store your data anywhere else. If you use HealthKit sync, data written to Apple Health will remain in the Health app.

How do I report a bug?

Please email us and include the steps to reproduce the issue, a screenshot or screen recording, your device model, and iOS version.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Lunara offers optional Pro features (hormone trends, health reports, pattern insights, AI advice) through auto-renewable subscriptions.

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment information.

Troubleshooting

HealthKit data is not syncing
  • Go to iOS SettingsPrivacy & SecurityHealthLunara and ensure all relevant categories are enabled.
  • Make sure you granted HealthKit permission during onboarding or in Settings.
  • Force quit the app and reopen it.
Predictions seem inaccurate
  • Predictions improve with more data. Log at least 3 complete cycles for meaningful predictions.
  • Make sure you're logging the correct period start dates — predictions are based on your history.
  • Irregular cycles (shorter than 21 days or longer than 45 days) are filtered as outliers to avoid skewing predictions.
Subscription not recognized / features locked
  • Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases.
  • Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
  • Check your subscription status in iOS SettingsApple IDSubscriptions.
Notifications not appearing
  • Go to iOS SettingsNotificationsLunara and ensure notifications are enabled.
  • Check that the specific reminder types are turned on in the app's Settings tab.
  • Make sure Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is not blocking notifications.
